PoorLingo is a language learning platform that transforms third-party video content (e.g., from YouTube) into interactive dictation exercises. The Service provides features including, but not limited to, subtitle usage, AI-powered analysis, dictation practice tools, and learning progress tracking.

3. User Accounts

  • Registration: To access certain features (e.g., saving progress, Pro features), you must create an account via Google or email. You agree to provide accurate and complete information.
  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. PoorLingo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
  • Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in any fraudulent or illegal activity.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Freemium Model: PoorLingo offers a free version with limited features and a paid "Pro" version.
  • Billing: Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. By subscribing to Pro, you agree to pay all applicable fees.
  • Renewals: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current period.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. User-Generated Content (Subtitles)

  • Uploading: You may upload custom subtitle files (.srt, .vtt) to the Service.
  • License: By uploading content, you grant PoorLingo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • Responsibility: You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to upload such content and that it does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service.
  • Upload malicious code or viruses.
  • Harass or harm other users.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. PoorLingo disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall PoorLingo be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service.
